Lots of excitement here!

Tomorrow is my first official day of vacation and I'm going to start it with a bang! A few of my friends will be bringing their little ones over tomorrow morning to make gingerbread houses. I can't wait to see what the kids create. In the afternoon we are getting our special delivery. <3 I'm so excited to finally see our new piece of furniture in our house! Our livingroom will finally feel complete. Then, tomorrow night I have a game night over at Amy's. It's been such a hectic few months with all of the holidays and everything that us ladies haven't had a chance to hang out in a while. It will be good to have a drink or two and catch up. It always turns into a "gigglefest" with my girls.

I cannot believe all of the rain that we've had in the past few days. It seems like it has let up a little but this afternoon. As I had coffee with Alyssa today it was still a full downpour! We didn't mind though because we had our rainboots on. ;) It's not so bad walking through all of the puddles when you are wearing the proper footwear. It's even a little fun! Tonight I need to finish a few gifts after we grab some dinner and go look at Christmas lights in our new car! This has already turned out to be the best Christmas yet. :]

4th of July Continued

We were so busy having a god time last night that I hardly took any photos at our BBQ.

Yummy. They tasted better than they looked.

That's our night in a nutshell. <3

First Engagement Photoshoot

Here are my good friends Amy and Martin!! It was very hot during this shoot but it was a blast. It was so fun to capture 2 people so in love. <3 Cliche I know... but looking at the photos when I got home it's really evident how much they love each other.

So, how did I do!?

Bonjour!

With the start of my 365 website I decided I will give my public blog a try again. I'm in the midst of my summer vacation which has been unusually busy for me. I thought I'd be bored but I have yet to have a day with no plans! Over the years I've met tons of awesome people and I am now starting to realize that I have tons of great friends. During the school year I only get to spend time with a small handful of them but with all this free vacation time I've been able to spend more time with those I haven't seen in a while! I've had tons of fun antiquing, crafting and creating the 365 website with Alyssa the past few weeks. I've planned a Bachelorette party for my friend April and helped her get a few of her wedding planning done. I've gotten to spend some time with Beth and was even able to visit her new school which was exciting! Amy is another cool lady that I've been seeing a lot more of this break along with her sister Treena and cousin Karli! I met a new friend, Rachel, who has become one of my new photographer friends. The list goes on and on! Above all I've been able to spend more time with my amazing husband.

We've been able to hammer out some projects around the house and in the yard. His love for yardwork is running off on me a little... well.... not the manual labor so much but designing and choosing flowers and shrubbery has been fun. I've fallen in love with some new flowers. Some of you may be surprised about that because I wasn't much of a flower person maybe a year ago but recently I fell in love with the shape of the peonies and even more recently I've grown fond of dahlias. I think it's fun to find flowers that your average person doesn't have in their yard. I was to grow as many exotic "cut flowers" as I can so that I can create my own arrangements for the parties we have. I think it would be fun to be able to create our own bouquets for friends and family with our own personality represented with our flowers. Ok, I definitely dorked out with my flower talk. I guess you could add that to my list of passions that I have. <3

****** Update: Public blogging didn't last long. Some people just don't enjoy seeing others happier than they are. I will continue to post some blogs on my own site for now... maybe I will design a new blogger for friends only when I get around to it.
