So much fun last night!

Rocky Horror was so fun last night. I had a blast hanging out with Beth and Jaci. We ran into some interesting people and were even escorted halfway home by a drag queen who thought WE had a fierce walk. Lol. Only on Halloween weekend. Love it. Tonight we party with family and a few close friends.

Last night in the restroom at The Fox.

Surprise!

We were so busy this week that we didn't noticed the card my parents snuck onto our Halloween Tree! I finally spotted it when we got home today. Ha

Happy Halloween á l'ecole!

The kiddos are loving this at the moment.

I wish they would release these on BlueRay!! DVD would be nice. I'm stoked that my class is into it though.

I received some adorable gifts from my darlings. They know how much I looooove Halloween. :] I can't wait to celebrate with my Hubby tonight! We've been so dang busy.

Surprised that life's surprises still surprise me

It's funny to me that life's unexpected twists and turns always leave me amazed. By now you'd think I wouldn't be surprised by much. I've seen many relationships fizzle due to a handful of reasons yet when a new one fades I find it to be unbelievable still. I was hanging out with a friend today and we were discussing friends of ours and I was explaining how an old friend of mine chose to leave me behind basically because I was honest and even though this happened years ago I still am flabbergasted about the entire thing. I don't think there will ever be a day that I am able to say: "Ok, I get it. It makes complete sense and I'm not sure why I didn't see it this way before."

Negative surprises are just one side though. I actually like pondering on the more positive twists in my life. Just as a door closing is really another door opening... a friend lost is just another friend to be made somewhere else. I love seeing how new people come into my life, especially when it's from left field. Sometimes while on the freeway my mind wanders into this analogy that I'd had since the age of about 18 or 19. Odd that I can remember but I was driving to LA to see a guy when I had an epiphany about life... and freeways. They are one in the same. The cars you drive alongside are there for an uncertain amount of time. Sometimes you see the same cars for hundreds of miles, sometimes they are gone as soon as you see them and sometimes they leave you only to reunite with you 60 miles later. People enter and leave my life like the cars on the freeway. I wonder where the next 1,000 miles will take me. :)

Dogdate Success!

Max has a new friend. :) Jaci and I hung out and chatted while our pups ran around together. They got along so well. Next time I will bring Molly. She doesn't warm up to new dogs as quickly so we'll see how that goes.

Here are some pics of Max and Darby. :)

Sunday, dogday!

Enjoying some Via while I wait for Brad to arrive with some yummy lunch.

Then I'm going to get myself and Max ready for a doggy date at the dog park! Max has been dying to go play with some other pups.

October madness continues

This weekend has been so much fun. Friday night we went to a very originally themed wedding party. We had ton dress up as a lumberjack or lumberjill for the party. It was oddly fun ton dress up like this for a party. We enjoyed some good food, friends and even some interesting party games.

I love that we look like Zombie Lumberjacks in this photo. <3

On Saturday my hunny bunny and I went to the pumpkin patch. We had a good time watching a pig race, visiting the petting zoo, playing around in the corn maze and choosing our own pumpkin. This is definitely something we will do with our future kid every year. It has already become a Granger tradition for us.

Saturday afternoon was spent decorating the rest of the house for Friday's party!! I can't believe it's already time nonparty in our costumes! There are so many more events coming up this month. I don't think I've ever had a month packed with more social events then this month.

I'm looking very forward to this in the coming weeks:

Flashbacks

I think this blog should be called my blast from the past blog. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older by the second or what but I keep getting reminded of random events in my past. Usually these mini flashbacks are triggered by old music that randomly is selected on my iPod. Today some Vendetta Red and Farewell Spacecadet came on which reminded me of my early days as a "downtowner." I remember how I loved finding the fliers letting me know the monthly line up and I also remember how upset I was when I couldn't go to the Only You farewell show.. I think Misbliss played with them. Oh the memories. I miss the days that my friends were on stage singing songs that had inside jokes that made me feel a little closer to the music. Even better... I loved the songs that my boyfriends who were in bands would write about me. My late teens and early twenties were pretty good. I'd say they were just eventful enough for me to look back with fond memories and no traces of regret. :)
